Marideth is a bit of a wanderer and has found herself in a new living situation late in the gardening season. Being an avid gardener and less than happy without a garden quick thinking and ingenuity have taken hold. Here she took advantage of an old shuffleboard court as the base for the garden. It has a lot of advantages, high enough to offer a work area way above ground level, and speed in getting growing things into a medium. No digging required!
The straw bales were lined up next to cattle panels at the edge of the shuffleboard court, and holes were opened up to accommodate the plants. The holes were filled with compost and the plants placed in. Drip line watering is laid out across the top and the plants are trelised with the cattle panels.
I think this will work! We’ll be watching and get some more pics when the plants grow into it some more.
